As I was shaping and sanding this piece I noticed black marks on the ivory linen (see second photo). I couldn't figure out why it wasn't going away, or what it was. Finally I realized it was the sharpie marker I used to label the parts and the orientation. I usually use black epoxy, so this is something I never have to worry about. At the last minute I realized undyed epoxy would be better for this build. However, I forgot this meant my sharpie would be visible! ARGH. No, it cannot be sanded away, you would sand the entire piece away. No, you can't clean it off with acetone, because its embeded in the epoxy. SO, I accepted the accident and decided to make it a part of the design. I decided to make two lanyard beads and a card of authenticity to go with the knife. On these additonal pieces I intentionally used a sharpie maker in the same way, so they would match the knife. I actually like the end result! Then, because this piece had to fight me to the very end, I misspelled "Prototype" on the authenticity card. Yes, I did spell check it at first. But at that time it said "Proto" and a few minutes later I quickly changed it to "Prototye" and did not realize I missed the p. I just decided to accept it, as it seemed fitting with this build. So I put a line through the typo and put the correct spelling next to it. In the end, inspite of all the mishaps the build turned out awesome!

18 pieces make up this fixie. Materials are Richlite paper micarta, ivory linen micarta, bengal orange linen micarta, and black G10 pins. The handle has a integral hidden lanyard loop. Comes with 2 handmade beads and a handmade Card of Authentisity.

It comes with 2 pvc patches. 1: JL patch & 1: Krispy Klean Grinds patch.
